Beta Joint

Beta joint is designed to create movement joints for industrial floor joint application. Steel expansion joints with unique design which helps is staying continuous profile on the floor joint. Moreover. it helps in securing edges of the floor at the movement. Beta joint system is specially design with plate dowel system where it takes the load and transfer the load over joints effectively.

The ABS sleeve designed to take care of sliding mechanism during expansion of the floor. The ABS sleeve is so designed to take care of any deformations due to concrete pressure during casting. The round dowels are so designed to take care of holding the joint in concrete

Prefabricated Intersections

Corner, 3-way and 4-way intersections are available to simplify installation. These components will be manufactured with the same height and plate dowel specifications to suit Construction Joint Adjustable and Construction Joint Fixed.

Installation Jacks

Installation Jacks are reusable items that facilitate speedy and accurate installation of Construction Joint. Use of installation jacks eliminates the risks associated with the conventional ‘pin and weld’ method, in particular the risk of cracking posed by the pins restraining movement at the joint opening.

Construction Joint Installation

Beta Joint Advantages

• Installed more than 65000 RMT Joints in pan India.
• Ridge and robust, it is easy to install
• Continuously transfers load from slab panel to slab panel.
• Mitigates curling, spalling and rocking
• Reduces joint repairs and facility down time
• Proven high satisfactory test results in extreme conditions
• Allows for continuous pouring on both sides of the joint
• Custom manufactured to suit any slab thickness and fully galvanized or manufactured in stainless steel upon request.

Beta Joint Benefits

• Heavy duty joint arris protection.
• Shear studs securely anchor the joint into the slab along its length.
• Resistant to twisting caused by the impact of wheeled traffic.
• Efficient load transfer between adjacent concrete slabs with plate dowels.
• Allows controlled horizontal slab movement, preventing random cracking.
• Eliminate vertical movement between slabs during concrete contraction, for a level floor surface.
• Supplied as one unit for easy handling and installation – the two sides are connected with frangible rivets which separate naturally after installation.

Beta joint Variants

We have optimised the Beta Joint design to give our customers the right combination of strength and versatility for every slab.  We now supply three styles of Beta Joint , depending on the slab depth.  All styles provide the benefits listed above and are suitable for all the applications shown.

  • For slab depths up to 140mm – our standard Beta Joint divider plate is supplied, as shown in the picture at the top of this page.
  • For slab depths from 150mm to 200mm – we supply our Beta Joint with a universal divider plate.  With pre-set positions, this can easily be set to multiple heights on site, which conveniently allows the same product to be used for different slab depths.
  • For slab depths from 220mm to 240mm – our standard Beta Joint  divider plate is supplied, as shown in the picture at the top of this page.
  • For slab depths over 240mm – we supply a version of Beta Joint  with additional continuous concrete ties (see picture, right), to give extra reinforcement and rigidity for an easier installation.
